I need some computer advice about ISP / and internet connections?

situation goes as such:

1) i have no connection to int exp. the bottom right side of my computer says ';Local area unconnected, and connection unplugged';

2) my ISP is disconnect, and says i may be in the midsts of a firewall...

3) the verizon tech support operator came to the conclusion of ';check your D-link, and make sure your connected'; which i am (i've checked everything pertaining to the connective cord and all lights show good). Only the ';Wlan'; ligh is blinking on and off smoothly, same with the ';status';.

4) the computer i'm on has the ';d-link'; next to it, and is the main computer. meaning i'm connected to this computers D-link.

Perhaps i need a mother board is what my uncle says, i have no clue what he means by that...I need some computer advice about ISP / and internet connections?
NO nothing to do with the motherboard. Check the status of the network on your computer in Network places. Does it say ';Connected';? If no, check if there's a password on the network.

If Your D link is working fine then there's no prob with the connection. I dont think the LOCAL connection has anything here.

Also check if the DSL itself is working. Try connecting a laptop to it which has an integrated wireless, you'll know where the problem is.

Good luck. If it all fails.. Reinstall D link %26amp; try again or call ur service provider. Btw u need D link drivers on all the computers using it.
