first off since your running windows inside parallels. it runs as a virtual machine and that makes the host os safe from any of the viruses that windows can get. and no mac is not safer against viruses. it just doesnt have as big a user base and windows is the more popular os so most virus programmers target windows. however if you use boot camp then the windows virus could destroy the mac system. however i do recommend you copy the virtual disk over as a backup that way if you do get a virus then you can just copy the virtual disk over and its back to where it used to be. as far as running games on a virtual machine it sucks. in that case go with boot camp+windows and install a good antivirus/antispyware on it.Mac Computer advice help?
If you install Windows on your Mac using a program like Parallels, only the Windows operating system can be affected by viruses.
Even if malicious software did manage to get onto Mac OSX, nothing will happen. (Windows viruses are not compatible with the Macintosh operating system)
If you run windows on anything it will still get everything it would get as if it ran on a windows computer.
why do you want windows tho?
