Computer Advice Needed! PLEASE HELP?

My Compaq computer wont START.


Its only a YEAR or so old.


When I turn it on nothing appears on the monitor at ALL.


I have checked all connections multiple times.


Graphics cards checked!..


There is a continuous BEEPING sound. From the CPU.





Any advice?? Or Has anyone had similiar problems???

The beeping sound is your answer. If nothing appears on the screen but you get beeping it is a BIOS beep code. You can look up the code online to determine what error is occurring. A beep code should be s series of short and long beeps. Search for BIOS beep codes or if you happen to know what BIOS you have look for codes for that specific BIOS. This may help point you into the correct direction to solve your problem.





If what you are experiencing is not separate beeps but more of a whining siren sound check your keyboard. If you have a desktop try a different keyboard. If it is a laptop try continuously tapping several keys as soon as you hit the power button to turn it on to see if it boots into windows. This siren beeping effect can occur if the computer thinks a non-valid key is pressed and held during boot. Even if none of the keys appear to be pressed something could be wrong with they keyboard that make the computer think this.
