I need computer advice?

I want a laptop to play a certain game whose specs. haven't been realeased yet. But anyway I want a Acer at circuit city with 4GB of RAM and 250GB hard drive. My question is, Would it be better for the game to run smoothly if I got one at 3GB RAM and 320GB hard drive? Like sacrificing a GB of RAM for 70GB of extra hard drive?I need computer advice?
well 1st off, acer laptops aren't that good. But if you want games to run smoothly on any laptop, you need more ram, not more hard drive space. You will only need more hard drive space if you put alot of games onto it.I need computer advice?
I would say no, it's easy to get a bigger hardrive and 250gb's should be fine for you for a while, on the other hand it will be allot nicer to have 4gb's of RAM, excpeially if you are running vista. The game and opperating system will run allot smoother with 4gb's of RAM...
u usally need more ram to play a more sophisticated game, because usually the game doesnt take up that much space
Extra storage will not increase the speed of your computer. Memory will, but here's another question. Do you know if the game you're waiting for will run on Vista 64 bit edition? The laptop with 4gb ram will definitely have the 64bit version of Vista instead of 32bit. The 32bit version will not recognize 4GB of ram.

Also, find out what speed the hard drives are. 7200 rpm drives will pull data faster than 5400 rpm drives will.

Personally, I would wait for the minimum requirements for the game to come out before I made such a purchase.
Either way should be fine, the one thing you need to check is what it requires for a video card (RAM) Thats the area to focus
Is the 4g ram laptop 64bit? Without more info I would go with the 4g ram laptop. I have an acer aspire 8920 series laptop with 64 bit, 4g ram and two 320g hard drives. The speed and l2 cache specs are more important than capacity.
hi.

actually, you would need a better video card in your computer, like and NVidia card, in order to get better quality in your videogames. Video cards take the job of processing all related to video like rendering 3D images, so you might need a computer with some video improvements.

if you only can decide for any of those 2 computers you mentioned, I would recommend the one with more RAM.
