low range, middle range or top range?
what new upgrades do i need to move up a range?Computer advice please help.....?
low/mid (prices next to the below, are estimated upgrade prices, not to buy the product but in comparison to your current ones)
A mid range would have say...
8800gt (+拢50)
e8400 (maybe one lower) or q6600 (+拢60)
500GB Hard Drive (+拢10)
64bit Vista 4gb 800Mhz DDR2 RAM (+拢25)
A better motherboard. (+拢20)
Total - 拢165 for increases (may be as much as 拢200 with current exchange.
Low range would be P4 so you arent that...
High end would be i7 at over 拢1500 for a good one, so wont be that.
Ignore Wiifey, obviously cant live up to our standards :SComputer advice please help.....?
I would say low-mid range currently. Upgrade your Video Card (4870 is the best value for money %26amp; will play ALL games faultlessly at a great price), increase your RAM to 4GB, %26amp; overclock your CPU to see huge gains.
Good luck %26amp; feel free to edit your question with new specifications......%26amp; I will check it out %26amp; critique it.
Good luck.
Mid Range-
Your MB supports DDR2 1200... faster mem is always a plus. 2gig is plenty for playing any games.
Quad core proc. would be nice.
Keep one thing in mind... while the 8600gt is a decent video card, and will play most games. If you want dual card you'll have to go with ATI. Your MB supports Crossfire and does not support SLI.
noob
thats a decent computer and it is at the middle - high range but not the top...dont see anything you need to upgrade
With a better processor, Top range, without...Middle.
Upper-Mid, BUT DUDE UPGRADE THE VIDEO CARD!!!!!! (Diamond brand) ATI Radeon HD 3870 O.C. for only $114.00 after rebate at CompUSA.com I just got one and it's bad to the bone!
