Gaming computer advice?

Right now i have a dell inspiron 5150, i play counterstrike source on it, and recently its been slowing down.

My options are to take it to bestbuy and get a bunch of things fixed: New graphics card. More ram. Motherboard?

would it be a better investment to buy a new computer built for gaming? also what would you suggest? im not looking to spend 1000 dollars on some machine.Gaming computer advice?
Since it is a laptop, the only option you have is to upgrade the ram. The videocard is integrated since it is a laptop. That's a good machine. I would recomend that you increase the ram, reformat and reinstall windows. It should run fantastically then.Gaming computer advice?
Best Buy has got to be the worst place you could ever take your computer. If you don't want to spend $1K on a new one then you'll have to upgrade. Unfortunatly Dells aren't the greates for serious upgrades.

Side Note; any game should play just as fast as the day you installed unless something else is wrong. Take a look at that first.
If you want a good gaming computer you're probably going to need to spend more than $1000 to get the CPU, graphics and memory you need. That being said, you're probably better off just buying a new computer rather than replacing the components you're talking about.
Recently slowing down suggests to me there is other stuff slowing down your computer. Your computer just doesn't slow down over time, spyware, added applications, viruses can all cause slowdowns.

Do not take it to best buy or you will be paying an arm and a leg to get the stuff you are talking about. The best and easiest solution is more memory, which is actually extremely easy to install and right now very cheap. Depending on the slot for your graphics card, or if you even have one, it may or may not be a good idea to get a new graphics card. If you have PCIe then go ahead with a new graphics card, if you have AGP then no.

Gaming computers are expensive and will generally approach or exceed 1000 depending on what you put into it.

My suggestion would be to scan your computer for bad stuff first and see if that resolves the problem. If not add some RAM. You can post more detail about your computer here and someone can easily help you in telling you what to buy and where. RAM is super easy to install, so don't go over to Best Buy to have them charge you extra fees for a super easy installation.
The Eric guy is right. Your video card is integrated so it cannot be replaced. I also play counter strike source on my laptop... but with no problems. I can tell you the problem since it is slowing down(this happened to my desktop). It is probably a 2 year old or more laptop and the RAM is finally starting to give out. Figure out what kind of RAM is in your computer, and match it up to a brand new RAM stick ( i suggest 2gb if you want to make it SUPER fast and last longer). Once you install it, css will speed up like never be4. I suggest getting your rAM from newegg.com

It is fast shipping and have VERY low prices ( make sure it matches to the RAM you have in your pc now!(mhz, pc2 or pc, ddr or ddr2 etc.)).

Good luck!
