I'm looking to build a gaming computer in the price range of $1000 - $1600. Here's what I came up with: For the motherboard I would use the Asus Rampage II Extreme, I would use duel Sapphire Radeon HD4870 1GB, Intel Core i7 920 Processor, Corsair TX850W Power Supply - 850W, Noctua NH-C12P heapipe cooler, Memory OCZ PC3 16000 - Platinum Edition (2000 MHz 9-9-9), Lite On IHES206-08 Blu-ray Disc Reader with DVD Writer Combo, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit English 1pk, XCLIO A380BK Fully Black SECC 1.0mm thickness ATX Full Tower Computer Case. Are these parts fully compatible with one another? What parts should be replaced? What games would I be able to play with this system efficiently, for example: could this computer run Crysis at high settings with a decent FPS? Advice, information and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Building a computer, advice needed.?
Well you done your homework and I don't think you need us to compare all items to find a compatibiltiy floor
I would however never use 64 bit versions as it will be very hard to get drivers if you install anything else, even programs are very hard to obtain, the second part I would change is the O/S go for Windows 7 a much better O/S more stable and advancedBuilding a computer, advice needed.?
The only thing i would offer as an option would be to get the Radeon HD4870 X2 instead of dual 4870's
The 4870 X2 is basically two 4870's on the one card. It would be a cheaper option (even though from the rest of the build it looks like money isnt a big consideration for you) and better still, you wouldnt get the performance degradation that you get as soon as you run two cards in Crossfire.
dude your pc setup is like a demon!!!
yes, your hardware is compatible with on another.
you will be able to play games which are going to come in next 6-7 years!!!!
you will run crysis on very high setting @ max resolution+16xAA @ 60+ fps.
note-why buy crysis if crysis warhead is in market.
warhead is better. trust me, i've played both the games.
this site will help you on what games can it play. but the build you got there will definitely play crysis and if you can play crysis, you can play every games out there that is graphic intense. T_T
