Computer Advice Please?

Right im thinking about buying the Asus 7 inch screen laptop. It is 拢200, now please could you tell me why is this so cheap compared to other laptops, whats the difference apart from size, and plus WOULD YOUR PERSONALLY BUY ONE? DO YOU THINK IT IS TOO SMALL? CheersComputer Advice Please?
Don't believe all you read. I have one and it is a little cracker. Small enough to carry around To support the HardDrive I carry a 4G flash drive also.

Mine has XP Professional installed and it zips along. We cut XP down a bit so it didn't take up too much space. It is small enough t o carry anywhere but easy to use for email and Skype phone calls. Its not a lot different than carrying a paperback book. I also have MS Word so I can write letters to save to my flash drive and get them printed out in an internet cafe.

Linux is slow and messy. I changed to XP from Linux and it became very quick by comparison. Also it has not moving parts which is good.Computer Advice Please?
prices really depends on the specs of your laptop. 7'; laptop is way too small in my opinion. I have a couple of laptops and find 13'; is best to carry around.
The ASUS EEE PC 701 4G is a tiny %26amp; cheap notebook computer .It does not have Windows XP or Vista installed,but has a special version of the free Linux operating system.The processor is simple %26amp; slow with only 512mb RAM at its disposal.Files %26amp; programs are stored on 4GB of flash memory.This partly accounts for the cheap price.I would not buy one,it is far too small for me.Think very carefully before making that purchase,the novelty will soon wear off.Good luck!!
I believe that besides the size, there is the processor speed. Most systems today have 1.2 to 2.0 Ghz, this only has a 900 Mhz. The other difference is that this system is installed with a GUI interface of Linux. Most PC systems have Microsoft Windows installed (though the system is XP Compatible).

Some will argue that the Linux Operating System is better, it is a personal preference. (If you are wanting to use most mainstream software you are going to want Windows, which will run you about $130 US) The only other thing would be wanting/needing more memory.
just right if you are used to look at the net on a phon. too much too little.
I don't know if I'd buy one and is that relevant to you.

Ask yourself, ';What am I going to use it for?'; ';Do I know enough about Linux to use it, and if not, do I know enough to convert it to XP?';

Knowing its use, can you install the software you need? Will the screen be big enough for the things you want to do, or will you have a headache from staring at so small a screen?';

I've been using computers from before Microsoft even had Windows!! Gut feel says this system is too limited to have other than very specific, specialist, niche uses and would be unsuitable for 90% of general ';home'; users.
