Any advice what to do when you have viruses on computer?

I know i have Trojans and i have always just had the free mcafee on my computer ( which obviously does not work) now mcafee will not even open or scan for me. Is there any virus remover i can purchase at a store to remove and clean my computer?Any advice what to do when you have viruses on computer?

AVG or Avast. Both are free and work really well.
I honestly suggest you get Kaspersky Anti-virus.I've been using this for years and had no problems with any viruses-I had to clean a friend's hard drive and after connecting it and scanning it it found 361 viruses-it's got a very good detection system and also a very good firewall.Go with either Kaspersky Antivirus or Kaspersky Internet Security-try the trials.
best bet is to find out which viruses/trojans you have, then do a research on them through google and find out the proper way of removing them

If all else fails, you can always format to guarantee elimination
