Buying a new computer advice?

i am looking at getting a new computer very soon. our budget between $1500 and $2000. just use for internet, photos, office type programs etc. i have heard mac pretty good. need some advice please. thanksBuying a new computer advice?
Macs are overpriced and overrated. Dell makes some of the best desktops, hardware and performance wise. And you can get a killer Dell with the best antivirus software (Kaspersky Antivirus 2009) for less than 1500. Plus, Dells come with glorious restore discs, which come in handy, trust me..... HP's dont, and when the dreaded day comes where you hard drive fails you'll have to order some for another 15 bucks and wait about a week for them to arrive.

Kaspersky has to be the best software I've used for security over the years. Mcafee blocks nothing, about half the computers I see infected with viruses have that garbage installed. Norton has gotten a little bit better, TrendMicro has some issues...

I'm rambling.....anyways.... If that's all you're going to be using the PC for just go with a decent Dell and throw Kaspersky on there, if you feel like spending the extra money Best Buy has a very nice extended warranty that includes EVERYTHING, even free virus removals just in case it becomes infected. The warranty even inlcudes the purchase of Kaspersky, and the installation and configuration of Kaspersky, plus and optimization of the computer. You get one free PC-checkup a year (internal PC cleaning, optimization, hardware test, virus scan with 7 different scanners.) Just can't go wrong with that deal, it brings a tear to my eye.Buying a new computer advice?
Judging from the things you need it for get a PC custom built.

Or Get a Dell Computer you can ring them up and tell them what you need.

As for the Mac, Mac's Are good but i just think PC's have more compatibility with various softwares etc.

But, If You are looking for a computer with basically no viruses get a mac.
you should get a mac, they are excellent and you can run windows on them if you need to, but if you think u should just get a pc to save the trouble, don't because you will find yourself using mac os x for its superior stability and speed. also the macbook is not overpriced compare it with any other 13.3 inch display machine and you will find that it costs less than a similarly priced machine

Mac's are great but you pay a premium for the quality design.

You could build a computer for hundreds less.
Check the compaq at www.radioshack.com and save some money
Honestly I think macs are a little on the pricey side. Id get a dell or hp
