I have windows vista(a hp computer) and need some advice?

we purchased the internet through at%26amp;t. so i believe that with that,we got security protection and what not.





so how can i find out exactly what we got with that and do i have to like, update anything or any other thing of that nature having purchased through at%26amp;t?
